For a Moment
We were at the edge of the world
Where the sunlight reaches first
Gently grazing the tip of the wild grass
The scent of the sea
Permanently still
Unlike the ever moving waves
The laughter of friends
Who were strangers only a year ago,
Working the grill with a fresh catch of fish
It was the kind of comfort
That you practice into creation,
slow and easy
For a moment, it felt like we were the only ones
On the whole planet
